The Tree

What must be built before what — the book's advances as a dependency graph

The wild futures in this book are not free-floating. Each one stands on earlier, duller advances — and several of the wildest share the same few load-bearing ancestors. This tree makes the scaffolding explicit: every advance is a node, every edge means requires, and the achieved foundations glow at the left.

The tree as text — every advance with its dependencies

The same graph, one advance at a time: era, status, what it directly requires, and what it directly unlocks. Keystones — the advances with the most downstream dependents — are marked.
